This morning we enjoyed these amazing
toasty, cheese filled, delightful, mouth-watering crepe like rollups for
breakfast! So good! After breakfast we took it easy and eventually got out
selves into “work-out” mode once again. I jumped rope and Spencer went for a
little run, and then we went for a 15min run together. We went back to the
“workout park” to stretch and cool down! We decided after lunch to head off
into town, not sure where we would end up, or even if we would make it to town.
We started walking in the general direction of town, and surprisingly we didn’t
get lost and ended up at the marina. We walked around for a while and took some
pictures before heading back home. We ran a bit to get home so we would get
nice and warm because I wanted to go swimming in Guler’s pool. I grabbed my
swimsuit and edged my way closer to the pool- knowing it was going to be cold
(and it was by now 6:00ppm and no sun was on the pool). I braved the plunge
(Spencer also said he would pay be 28,000$ if I did, so I took him up on his
(obviously fake) offer as an incentive to jump in). And with that, I conquered
the pool. It was mighty cold. If I stayed under too long I would get a head
freeze! After a hot shower, we were able to Skype with Mom and Dad Jensen,
which was nice! We enjoyed a delicious dinner. It was minced meat rolled up in
paper-thin flat bread dough, and then placed in a circular shape before being
baked. When they were served they were topped (or swimming in) with a garlic
yogurt sauce and drizzled with an oil spice mixture. It was amazing! Gunay the
housekeeper is an amazing cook. We are truly blessed to be here!
